Simple Sentence

A sentence is minimal contains a subject and a predicate. Subject is a person that do one or more activity. Subject is not always a person. Subject is not human also. It is like something or animals. They can be helped by pronoun, like I, we, you, they, she, he, and it.

Predicate is the activity that is done by the subject. It is verbs. It's position always after subject. It's function is explaining the subject. We can know what the subject do or the subject's activity from the verb.

Example:

1. Alman studies  =  Alman (subject), Studies (Verb)

2. He sat  =  He (subject), sat (verb)

3. They eat  =  They (subject), eat (verb)

4. The tree grows  =  The tree (subject), grows (verb)

5. A cat climbs  =  A cat (subject), climbs (verb)

6. Sinta says  =  Sinta (subject), says (verb)

7. Mahmud cried  =  Mahmud (subject), cried (verb)

8. It flies  =  It (subject), flies (verb)

9. We go  =  We (subject), go (verb)

10. I follow  =  I (subject), follow (verb)
